When used on objects, integrity refers to the purity, intactness, and wholeness of a thing. Many different facets of integrity help people understand its different meaning. Various aspects and facets of a person’s life are attributed to integrity. In most cases, people speak of attributes such as artistic, intellectual, and professional integrity. Although the term has different facets that explore on its meaning, the most philosophical aspect of it is that it relates to the general character. Specifically, philosophers have attempted to understand what it is for an individual to demonstrate integrity throughout life. Many have tried to answer the question of what it is to be a person of integrity. In summary, the philosophers’ discourse about integrity revolves around two fundamental elements. The first element is the formal relation that an individual has to oneself and secondly, the aspect of acting morally, no matter what the environment is. A person of integrity is one that does what is right despite the pressures or challenges he finds himself into. Such an individual is not moved by emotions, but by a strong character that stands for moral purpose. One of the integration outlooks of integrity is the act of keeping self uncorrupted and self-intact. It is important to note that an individual is subject to many conflicting desires. If an individual acts towards the conflict desires, then he or she acts without integrity. Integrity requires one to destroy the sinful nature that is to fulfill human desires such as greed, corruption, and immorality just to name a few. Integrity requires one to make a sober decision between doing what is right and what is wrong. For example, one may endorse the desire to outlay and study, a desire to party or go to church, and a desire to be unfaithful or faithful. The decisions that human beings make depend so much on integrity that one possesses. A person of integrity is one that is not determined by the environment he is in, but chooses to do what is right in spite of the cost or challenge. Fully integrated people do not fall into victims of immorality, corruption, or greed. Rather, they try to do the best they can to live an appealing life. A person of integrity bases judgment on positive desires and commitments. Personal integrity demands one to stand for something. This explains why an individual chooses to do the right thing regardless of being in the midst of something or an environment that would push one to make the wrong choice. As philosophers view it, integrity is having regard on one’s role and respect over what is worth and valuable doing. It means doing the right thing at all circumstances and times regardless of whether someone is watching or not. It takes the courage for an individual to do the right thing at the right time, independently on the consequen ces. For years, many people have believed that it takes years to build integrity, but it only takes seconds to ruin and lose it. With this, it is important for one to safeguard his personal life to preserve integrity, which is costly to have. Every individual should strive to attain the reputation of integrity. At all cost, one should avoid people that ruin one’s reputation. A person should be conscious of his or her action as there are consequences that follow. Success may come and go, but integrity remains forever. Thus, as people work hard to be successful in life, they should also strive hard to attain integrity that helps one to achieve his intended goals. Even so, there is a great spring group about a mile upstream of the boat ramp.Called Bezel, the main spring has a clear shallow run from the east and leads to a lovely spring pool that strongly invites a dip, even a skinny dip when no one is around. Three more springs line the banks just below and above Bezel, and the park is a popular pull-out for overnight and weekend cancers. The official swimming area is yet another spring called Blue Hole. The spring forms three pools, one of which has a nice beach and dive littoral. The water in the main spring is a deep, milky blue and its 68 degrees are very refreshing on a hot summer day.The Florida Caverns Golf Course is adjacent to the park and is a separate concession. Park fees are $3. 25 per car, and there are additional, if reasonable, charges for cavern tours, canoe rentals, camping, horseback riding, and golfing. Gemstones and other minerals are ranked according to their Mohs hardness. Mohs hardness refers to a materials ability to resist abrasion or scratching. Note that a hard gem or mineral is not automatically tough or durable. About the Mohs Scale of Mineral Hardness The Mohs (Mohs) scale of hardness is the most common method used to rank gemstones and minerals according to hardness. Devised by German mineralogist Friedrich Moh in 1812, this scale grades minerals on a scale from 1 (very soft) to 10 (very hard). Because the Mohs scale is a relative scale, the difference between the hardness of a diamond and that of a ruby is much greater than the difference in hardness between calcite and gypsum. As an example, diamond (10) is about 4-5 times harder than corundum (9), which is about 2 times harder than topaz (8). Individual samples of a mineral may have slightly different Mohs ratings, but they will be near the same value. Half-numbers are used for in-between hardness ratings. How to Use the Mohs Scale A mineral with a given hardness rating will scratch other minerals of the same hardness and all samples with lower hardness ratings. As an example, if you can scratch a sample with a fingernail, you know its hardness is less than 2.5. If you can scratch a sample with a steel file, but not with a fingernail, you know its hardness is between 2.5 and 7.5.   Gems are examples of minerals. Gold, silver, and platinum are all relatively soft, with Mohs ratings between 2.5-4. Since gems can scratch each other and their settings, each piece of gemstone jewelry should be wrapped separately in silk or paper. Bone loss – A Silent Pain This paper will highlight the problem of bone loss. I have tried to gather as much information as I can and have created a paper and a PowerPoint. The teaching strategy used is called strategic learning. This learning is based on strategy and I have presented a PowerPoint that will present my concept in a better way. Large number of people have no idea that they have suffered from bone lose until one day they trip, fall and fracture a bone. There are many misconceptions about bones. People think of bones to be hard and durable, but studies have shown time and again that bones are living tissues that grow and change throughout our lives sort of like always work in progress. Old bones are constantly removed, and new bones formed. In childhood, adolescence and early adulthood, new bone formation constantly outruns the removal of old bone (Astray, 2017). As we get old, however, that process reverses. Bone lose affects both men and women as they age, but women suffer the health consequences in very high numbers as compared to men. In US, it is estimated by 2020 over half of all Americans could have weak bones due to bone loss. Osteoporosis – The disease resulting from bone loss – causes one and half million fractures every year, including 300,000 hip fractures, 700,000 vertebral fractures, 250,000 wrist fractures, and more than 300,000 fractures of other bones (Juois, 2014). According to the 2009 Canadian community Health Survey, estimates that approximately 1.5 million Canadians aged 40 years and over have osteoporosis. Among these people women were four time more likely to report having osteoporosis than men. Women are at more risk than men because they start with lower bone density and they lose bone mass more quickly as they age. Women reach peak bone mass between the ages of 25 and 30 (Jess, 2011), after that it’s downhill for bones. When women lose the protective effect of estrogen, bone loss often accelerates at menopause. Five to seven years after menopause women may lose up to 20 percent of their bone mass. Evaluation Risk Factors Numerous factors influence women’s risk of bone loss, osteoporosis and fractures. Age : Older you are greater the risk.  · Body size : small, thin-boned women are at greater risk. Genetics : If your grandmother, mother, or sister had osteoporosis, you are at higher risk. Ethnicity : White and Asian women are at higher risk. Personal history : Any bone fracture after age 50 increases your risk of osteoporosis. Smoking : Among many downsides, it also produces adverse effects on bones. Diet : Inadequate intake of calcium and vitamin D and exercise and consumption of alcohol increases your risk of osteoporosis.  · Slot : A sedentary lifestyle weakens bones (Jess, 2011).
